RAIN, RAIN, STAY AWAY

1.
Yes, this blistering blaze burns,
And we sweat, sizzle and sigh,
Though, we crave your cold cuddle,
Yet we say
Rain, rain, stay away.

2.
Here, no tunnels for you to travel through.
And wires are wet from your watery ways,
Making NEPA dry them for many days.
So we say
Rain, rain, stay away.

3.
With soggy shoes, we sit in swimming cars,
'Cos puddles and potopoto have plastered our paths.
We love you, but without drains, you are a pain,
That's why we say
Rain, rain, please stay away.

*potopoto- Nigerian pidgin English word for mud.
